TRS Debuts Bathroom Collection at Costa Rica Semana de Diseño 2024

At this year’s Costa Rica Semana de Diseño, held at HUB_SDCR, we launched our latest offering—the TRS Bathroom Collection. Focused on performance and sustainability, this line integrates seamlessly with modern spaces while remaining true to our ethos: transforming what’s often dismissed as waste into purposeful design.

Why Semana de Diseño?

Semana de Diseño Costa Rica is a key event in the Latin American design calendar, gathering designers, architects, and creatives to explore ideas at the intersection of sustainability and design. The 2024 edition included a range of exhibitions and talks emphasizing forward-thinking approaches to design. Our participation was about more than just showcasing a new product; it was a chance to demonstrate how recycled materials can be elevated in high-impact, functional spaces. The TRS Bathroom Collection

This collection is designed to handle real-world challenges. Moisture, mold resistance, and easy maintenance are non-negotiables in bathrooms, and these practicalities guided every step of the design process. The materials used are exclusively our M-CD sheets—100% recycled, 100% recyclable plastic with a polished finish. The collection’s clean, minimal design reflects our commitment to creating something useful that doesn’t shout but simply works.

Our approach isn’t about pushing bold claims. We create what we know works, offering durable and sustainable solutions without the need for embellishment. (Semana del Diseño Costa Rica)

What We Shared at HUB_SDCR

At our space in the Zona OM, we focused on making connections. The design community’s response confirmed that there’s real demand for well-crafted materials that are both sustainable and versatile. We didn’t set out to make noise but to provide a clear look at what we do and how M-CD can serve designers and architects focused on sustainable projects.

Visitors could see the possibilities in using our materials for everything from large-scale interiors to bespoke installations. Whether they’re looking for sheet materials or finished products, the conversation always came back to what matters: using circular principles to rethink waste.

Looking Ahead

Semana de Diseño was a milestone for us, offering a chance to reflect on our journey and share our direction with others. The Bathroom Collection is just one part of our broader mission to challenge what waste can become. We’re not interested in merely repurposing materials; we’re committed to proving that even what’s overlooked has the potential to drive exceptional design.

For those who couldn’t attend, the collection is now available for viewing on our website.
